Toe-to-heel air injection (THAI) is an in-situ combustion method for producing heavy oil. In this technique, the fire flooding starts from a vertical well, while the oil is produced from a horizontal well having its toe near the vertical air-injection well.

Roll a tank is used to agitate a tank containing gas or air injected through a roll line. The procedure is also used to mix chemicals before a stimulation treatment of an oil or gas well.
